Connemara whiskey successfully participated in the 2005 New York Whiskey Fest organised by the Malt Advocate magazine. This provides us with a chance to meet our customers face to face and we were delighted with the favourable response from the knowledgeable New York crowd. As part of the participation the writing team at the Malt Advocate performed a review of our latest offering in the US, the Connemara 12 year Old which is shown below.
Connemara, 12 Year Old - 90 RATING
One of Cooley's finest efforts. Moderate doses of kiln smoke, dried turf, and kippers, tamed by vanilla cream, and a buttery, olive oil texture. Subtle spices dance on the palate. Lingering smoky, white pepper finish. Islay meets Ireland.
